Well one of the difference is MS Office is from Microsoft, and is the widely acceptable format of most business/written documents. Iwork is from Apple and is not compatible with MS Office.
If someone says if you need your documents to be compatible with PCs get MS Office, what they mean is if you will be giving your documents (in electronic format (via email, etc)) to someone running Windows, they can open an MS Office document, even if you created them on a Mac, they won't be able to open the Iwork documents. What's the difference between MS Office and Iwork?
i think that question was an insult to Sir steve jobs...obviously Iwork is better..not better but the BEST...from starting till now bill gates have been just copying mac in all areas.....apple introduced the dock in macintosh...microsoft introduced the new taskbar similar to dock in windows7....well go for iwork itz more reliable than office...mopre features included..You鈥檒l be making impressive documents, spreadsheets, and presentations in minutes.
