What is setting on MS Explorer that remembers a string of numbers put in a field?

What is setting on MS Explorer that remembers a string of numbers put in a field? So if I want to re-enter a number like a library card number, it remembers that once I put in the first digit and displays the rest. How do I set explorer to do this on web pages? What is setting on MS Explorer that remembers a string of numbers put in a field?
Click Tools, Internet Options, Content tab, select Settings button next to AutoComplete. Checkmark Forms. Click OK twice. If that number string is a password, then you'd also need to checkmark User Names and Passwords. What is setting on MS Explorer that remembers a string of numbers put in a field?
