Is my MS product key still good on new computer?

Have new computer. I tried using my MS product key from old computer on my new computer and it wouldn't work. What can I do?

My guess would be no if it dont work. I had the same problem you are having now. I ended up haveing to call microsoft and they had to issue me another one. For a while before we knew what to do we had to keep rebooting our computer and it would let us use it for 30 days. But the bad thing about that is that after the 30 days are up you will loose everything :( I dont have the 1800 number on hand but when i get off work i can see if i can find it for ya. Buy the ms product key for the new software. Else install the old software in the new computer.
Not a very good question. Which MS Product (Windows /Office / Word) - what was the old PC specs - what are the new PC Specs, did the new PC come with an OS installed ?
