I am interesting in attending a graduate school that offers a dual degree of doctorate in physical therapy and ms in athletic training. You can be a PT in any facility. PT/ATC generally work in out patient orthopedic clinics and work with patients with sports injuires. Some work with sports teams at a variety of levels. Salary is decent.

I agree with the poster above. The dual degree may give you some salary advantage as a prospective employee to outpatient clinics. With the athletic trainer degree you will be able to help some clients without a doctor's signature. Laws vary by state. This opens up marketing opportunities that don't otherwise exist.
